The Co-ordinators role with Young Workers Advisory Service is to oversee the provision of advocacy, support and referrals to young people on work related issues.

Industrial Officer

Currently Acting Senior Industrial Officer QWWS

Teresa has worked as an Industrial Officer for the Young Workers Advisory Service since May 2004. Teresa holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Queensland and has previously worked in the Industrial Relations Commission and in various research positions. Teresa is particularly interested in issues such as pregnancy discrimination, unfair dismissal protection and apprentice and trainee rights. Teresa has tutored students in employment relations at Griffith University.

Andrew Marsden

Industrial Officer

Andrew joined YWAS through completing the Volunteer Program whilst studying at University. Andrew has recently completed his Bachelor of Commerce at Griffith University majoring in Employment Relations and Occupation Health Health and Safety. Andrew is now a permanent employee and is particularly interested in the areas of age and pregnancy discrimination.
